Job Summary
AECOM is currently seeking a Senior Construction Manager for our Arlington, VA office. This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Managing projects to achieve specified objectives
Overall planning, coordination and control of a project from inception to completion to produce a functionally and financially viable project that will be completed on time within authorized cost and to the required quality
Manages portfolio of clients with multiple projects
Responsible for delivering revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business caused by flawless execution of projects
Consistently delivers profit margins planned
Consistently completes project without write-downs or multiplier erosion.
Manages projects involving RTF (Risk Triggering Factors).
Manages more complex clients and projects
Decision-making authority and directs other Project Managers in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such
Directs staff to operate and minimize exposure to claims
Supervises and directs Project Managers with multiple projects or program of projects
Additional Responsibilities:
Manages multiple construction projects for a client within a Capitol Program/Portfolio for a single institutional client.
Manages scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and change management
Manages portfolio of clients with multiple projects
Responsible for delivering revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business caused by flawless execution of projects
Consistently delivers profit margins planned
Consistently completes project without write-downs or multiplier erosion
Typically manages projects involving RTF (Risk Triggering Factors)

Has decision-making authority and directs other Project Managers in recognizing risk and Areuncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such
Directs staff to operate and minimize exposure to claims
Supervises and directs Project Managers with multiple projects or program of projects
Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies
Provides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface
Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors
Responsible for administering the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout. Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned project
Minimum Requirements
BA/BS + 6 Years of experience
AA/AS (US) + 8 YORE
Diploma/Certificate e (Canada) + 8 YORE
HS/GED + 10 YORE
