Job Summary

AECOM is currently seeking a Senior Construction Manager for our Arlington, VA office. This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Managing projects to achieve specified objectives

  • Overall planning, coordination and control of a project from inception to completion to produce a functionally and financially viable project that will be completed on time within authorized cost and to the required quality

  • Manages portfolio of clients with multiple projects

  • Responsible for delivering revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business caused by flawless execution of projects

  • Consistently delivers profit margins planned

  • Consistently completes project without write-downs or multiplier erosion.

  • Manages projects involving RTF (Risk Triggering Factors).

  • Manages more complex clients and projects

  • Decision-making authority and directs other Project Managers in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such

  • Directs staff to operate and minimize exposure to claims

  • Supervises and directs Project Managers with multiple projects or program of projects

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manages multiple construction projects for a client within a Capitol Program/Portfolio for a single institutional client.

  • Manages scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and change management

  • Manages portfolio of clients with multiple projects

  • Responsible for delivering revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business caused by flawless execution of projects

  • Consistently delivers profit margins planned

  • Consistently completes project without write-downs or multiplier erosion

  • Typically manages projects involving RTF (Risk Triggering Factors)

  • Manages more complex clients and project

  • Has decision-making authority and directs other Project Managers in recognizing risk and Areuncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such

  • Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies

  • Provides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface

  • Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors

  • Responsible for administering the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout. Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned project

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 6 Years of experience

  • AA/AS (US) + 8 YORE

  • Diploma/Certificate e (Canada) + 8 YORE

  • HS/GED + 10 YORE
