Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an entry level Civil Engineer for our Philadelphia office. Work for the position centers around design and construction of airside civil projects including runway, taxiway, apron, and site designs. This includes pavement design and analysis, earthwork analysis, grading and drainage design, erosion and sediment control measures, utility coordination, cost estimating, preparing quantities, producing plans and technical specifications, and construction administration services under the supervision of other experienced engineers on the design team. Candidate shall use computer software as a tool including AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office.The responsibilities include but are not limited too;

-Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer including but not limited to:

  • Pavement design and analysis;

  • Earthwork analysis;

  • Grading and drainage design;

  • Erosion and sediment control measures;

  • Utility coordination;

  • Cost estimating and quantity preparation;

  • Plan production;

  • Technical specification development;

  • Construction administration services.

  • Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.

-Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

Civil Engineering Degree

Civil or site engineer

Aviation experience
