Title:

LCIV Erbil / CSO OIR Estimator

Estimator

Accountable for the preliminary or definitive estimates for projects. Calculates estimates by using processes, labor availability and productivity, material prices, based on historical data. Tabulates cost studies, cash flows, and prospect analysis. Under general supervision, solves complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices in project controls. Uses experience and problem solving skills to develop and improve processes. May provide guidance to less experienced team members.

Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 2+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.

Job Specific Responsibilities:

  • Reviews contract documents and contract modifications to determine scope of work
  • Liaise with site SMEs to clarify Basis of Estimate (BOE) requirements
  • Possess excellent analytical and technical capabilities, both orally and in writing, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Comfortable with often changing deadlines, inquiries and related pressures and able to handle multiple tasks
  • Interacts well with any level of Project Management and can interface with other employees/ departments
  • Must be able to provide a strong level of customer service and professionalism
  • Skillful in problem recognition and solution selection/recommendation
  • Carry out other ad-hoc tasks as required
  • Experience with the Cost Point and COGNOS platform
  • Must be deployable to the Middle East

Additional requirements:

  • Must be fluent in English
  • Must possess passport book with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
  • Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
