Sustainment Engineer III

KBR is currently seeking an experienced NAVSEA Sustainment Engineer III for the Joint Technical Integration (JTDI) to provide NAVSEA customer technical support for the Joint Delivery Management Service (JDMS) deployed applications. The NAVSEA Sustainment Engineer III must be customer focused in support of our warfighter mission and have a broad technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016 Operating System (OS), IIS, Java and .NET based applications, local area networks (LANS), and Wide Area Networks (WANs) with knowledge of TCP/IP infrastructure. The NAVSEA Sustainment Engineer III will be part of a team responsible for the integration, configuration, test, deployment, and sustainment of JDMS deployed systems and infrastructure components

The Systems Engineer III will provide sustainment support for NFSA deployed systems to include hardware, software, configuration management, and documentation updates on existing systems.

Systems Engineer Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide daily status situational report (SITREP) to deployed application contractor and IPT lead
• Work with Project lead on technical management required for NAVSEA deployment and integration activities
• Provide continual service improvement feedback on sustainment support activities and make recommendations to improve JTDI sustainment support to the war fighter
• Provide technical guidance and direction to assist team members with problems reported by JDMS deployments
• Leverage Service Desk ticketing system track and document completed tasks
• Support IA team Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M) requests and response
• Work with NAVSEA fleet POCs to coordinate maintenance activities that impact system availability
• Provide proactive incident response to break-fix activities impacting system readiness

System Administrator Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences, Technology, degree and/or 10+ years relevant experience
• Hypervisor technologies to include VMware vSphere ESXi and Microsoft Server 2016 Hyper-V
• Specific experience with Microsoft Operating Systems 2012 R2 and 2016
• Specific experience with IIS 7.5 or greater
• Experience with a variety of LAN switches and TCP/IP networking
• Current Security + certification
• Current Operating System (OS) certification
• Able to obtain Secret clearance with SSBI or Top Secret Clearance (preferred)
