AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Project Manager in Garland, TX for a municipal capital improvement program.
Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates detailed phases of projects.
Manages one or more moderately complex projects.
Regularly develops and evaluates project plans.
Assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed project plans, drawings and specifications.
Budgets and schedules management for individual projects and a portfolio of projects.
Provides leadership, direction and technical guidance on projects.
Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects.
Coordinates with authorities and utility providers as needed to deliver projects as scheduled.
Collaboration with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists.
Work closely with the Client’s staff.
Manages internal and external stakeholders.
Schedule and coordinate the design, procurement, and construction process so that projects meet Client expectations.
Assists in the procurement process.
Reviews and approves vendor invoices.
Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and work timetables.
Interpretation and explanation of contracts and technical information to other professionals.
Coordination of design submittals, construction submittals, RFIs, and other formal communications.
Coordination of FF&E delivery and occupant relocation.
Travels to sites and meetings within the area.
Reporting work progress and budget matters to clients.
Provides weekly updates on project performance, budget, schedule, 2-week look ahead, etc.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field + 5 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Must be able to pass a state and national criminal history record check
Have and maintain a valid driver’s license
Experience with vertical (facility) projects from Pre-Design through Post-Construction/Occupancy
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook)
PMP and/or CCM designation
Working knowledge of Project Management Information Systems
Experience with multiple project delivery methods
