Title:

Specialist, HSE

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implements health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and guidelines for the employee and department safety.
  • Creates incident reports and performs inspections to ensure conformity in all areas of HSE.
  • Interacts with services personnel, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to research and interpret standards, codes and regulations.
  • Determines requisite for and organizes audits of company operated properties.
  • Keeps informed of regulatory requirements and auditing standards.
  • Assists in development and implementation of systems and standards to facilitate the capturing and analysis of HSE statistics.
  • Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field.
  • Displays core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills.

Job Qualifications:

  • You will be required to complete Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol test
  • You have worked on an industrial construction site before with 3+ years experience specializing in HSE
  • This position is a camp based project work in Fort McMurray on a 14 days on / 7 days off rotation with travel allowance
  • Those from Alberta and Western Canada will be given preference

Required Tickets:

  • CSTS-09 or CSTS-20
  • OSSA BSO or CSO
  • NCSO Certification
