Communications and Engagement Manager

Role Context:

KBR has been awarded a support contract by the UK Ministry of Defence (UK MOD). Under the terms of the contract, which will run until 2022 (with options out until 2025), KBR will provide communications network support and deliver training services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This is a significant long-term project and expands our portfolio of work with the UK MOD in the Middle East.

Under the contract, KBR is seeking to recruit staff to deliver:?

• Support in delivering IP Telephony at multiple sites, host applications such as Network Management System, Cable Management System and incident management software.?
• Operation of Service Desks in a number of regions.?
• Support to maintain operational capability of Fixed & Deployable equipment/capabilities.?
• Design & deliver a new Management Information System
• Technical & English Language Training in a number of regional locations.?
• Built Estate maintenance and upkeep.?

Location

Riyadh, Middle East, with some frequent travel required

Job Purpose: To develop, deliver and execute a proactive internal communications and stakeholder engagement strategy for a unique project in the Middle East, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Helping to develop and improve project communications Kingdom wide.

Responsibilities will include:

Main Duties & Responsibilities - Communications & Stakeholder Engagement Lead

• Develop and implement an internal communications strategic plan for the OM&T project project in the Middle East with the aim of improving and enhancing available communication channels.
• Write and edit internal communications.
• Advise and lead on internal campaign and support development of wider Kingdom wide approach and messaging to promote KBR
• Work closely with the Project Director and Senior Leadership Team to develop innovative and effective strategies to improve employee engagement, enhance the sense of community, Health & Wellbeing of staff, embed the ONE KBR values and develop a positive leadership culture.
• Develop and improve internal communication channels across, working with the wider KBR Communications and Marketing teams, and IT, to make effective use of internal channels.
• Ensure suitable mechanisms are in place to allow for communications to flow across departments, the project and the wider business, enhancing awareness and helping build a culture of trust and openness.
• Implement guidelines for consistent and recognisable branded style for communications.
• Evaluate the success of communications campaigns and use data and research to improve communications techniques and strategies.
• Manage communications and marketing associated with key business unit proposals, including liaison with partners on potential strategies.
• Support the development and implementation of a social value strategy within the OM&T project, linking in with the wider business strategy in this area.

Essential Experience

• A proven track record of successfully developing and implementing engaging internal communications strategies for complex projects with wide ranging and geographical distributed stakeholders
• Experience of measuring the effectiveness of communications and associated strategies
• Experience of engaging and influencing senior managers within an organisation
• Experienced in leading relationship formation with stakeholders including developing advocacy amongst key opinion formers
• Experience of working in the Middle East
• An entrepreneurial approach and passionate about work
• Ability to demonstrate strong commercial acumen and desire to work with a close-knit strategic senior leadership team
