SAIC is seeking an engineer to join our customer's end-to-end system engineering team. The team focuses on engineering successful large, complex systems. The core skillsets encompass requirements definition & development; technical system engineering; hardware/software/security architectures; agile frameworks; and delivery of products to site. The work is within the nuclear field. Ability to travel infrequently, usually about once or twice per year on average. 

On any given day, you will be called on to:

  • Lead systems engineering efforts related to requirements management, system testing, and test data analysis.
  • Support system-level performance characterization, requirements verification, and system performance reporting through engineering and test activities.
  • Close coordination with internal and external partners is necessary.
  • Dive into the systems and understand how the system works while providing mentorship. 



  • A Bachelor's degree in an engineering, math, science or related field plus 5 years or more of related experience; OR Master's degree and 3 years or more of related experience
  • Your background includes experience in the following areas:
    • Performing systems engineering and technical analysis
    • Generating system requirements, interface definitions, verification and validation activities, and project documentation
    • Test planning, execution, data analysis, and reporting
  • Your skillset includes an understanding of the full product development lifecycle
  • You possess experience with Linux systems and environments
  • You can obtain a DOE clearance, including an SCI clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
  • Experience with large, multi-organizational, multi-discipline projects with emphasis on satellite or other aerospace systems

  • Experience in design development, production, and operation of satellite ground systems
  • Experience with scripting and data analysis using Python or similar programming tools
