Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Environmental Scientist Intern for employment in the Arlington, VA office. AECOM is searching for driven candidates that are resourceful, curious, results-oriented, and decisive.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in preparing scientific calculations, specifications, and visual aids;

  • Collect and enter data, and apply technical principles and theories to assist in interpreting and analyzing data;

  • Compare investigation findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to assess compliance, draft reports documenting results, and present findings both written and graphically; and

  • Miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis.

Minimum Requirements

  • AA/AS (US) + None or Diploma/Certification (Canada) + None

  • Currently in pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science/Geology/Environmental Engineering or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing, and standard office software

  • OSHA HAZWOPER 40 Hour training

  • GIS and/or CAD skills
