Responsibilities include but not limited too:
Assists project safety manager as a technical advisor to project management on safety, health planning, training, and problem resolution
Administers the project specific safety program. Attend subcontractor daily safety briefing, Job Hazard Assessment and Task Hazard Assessment meetings.
Works with project Safety Manager to monitor compliance with project safety program and health laws, standards, and codes.
Fosters and maintains a close working relationship with Projects safety manager.
Assist project safety manager in the Investigation of injuries, conditions, and incidents that do or could involve actual or potential liability.
Assist the project safety manager with project safety meetings and toolbox talks with positive sign off. Documentation of meetings and meeting minutes.
Maintain record keeping and document control.
Promulgates safety standards during the course of the project as necessary.
Conducts project specific safety orientation.
Review subcontractor MOPs, JHA, THA and SSSP for conformance to project safety standards.
Promote the project safety incentive program, in accordance with the Project Safety Guidelines.
Inspects, on a regular basis, project areas and notifies responsible personnel employed by the general contractors, construction manager, or any subcontractors when violations occur. Assistant Project Safety Manager must attend the weekly project meeting.
Ensures that all daily entries in a site safety log are completed. Documentation of daily, weekly safety walks and conversations using the lifeguard and industry safe reporting platform.
Inspects and audits of the construction site in accordance with the schedule to determine that the conditions at the site meet the public safety and security parameters for the appropriate work.
BA/BS + four years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
BA/BS + four years of related experience or AA/AS (US) + six years of related experience or Diploma + six years of related experience or HS/GED + eight years of related experience
Knowledge of the construction industry regulations, 29 CFR 1926
