Job Title: NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer
Job Location: Tampa, FL
Clearance: Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance
Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.

Job Responsibilities:
Trace Systems is seeking an experienced self-motivated NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer with strong background in introducing new products to manufacturing while supporting existing sustaining products. This role will be responsible for New Product Introduction (NPI) to End of Life (EOL). Position requires collaboration with multi-functional teams such as: R&D design team (hardware and software), process and quality, test automation and reliability engineering to seek out problems and ensure cost avoidance and quality at the manufacturing floor. To ensure product sustainment, the primary focus will be on cost reduction and design related yield improvements.

Duties and Responsibilities to include the following:
Factory readiness for NPI (New Product Introduction)
NPI build procedures review and feedback
Change Management and Project Management
Quality Metrics driving/Support Defect Reduction Team
Perform quality audits and closures to protect operations by keeping information confidential
BOM structuring, Part Number creation and BOM risk Management
Communicate BOM structure and manufacturing build process to buyers and key stakeholders
Crafting, analyzing, and releasing product documentation i.e. build procedures
Review and document design diagnostic analysis and input / influence other stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:
Position requires a minimum of five (5) years work experience in a related Product Engineering field, preferably specializing in the Process Engineering or Quality Engineering area
Strong Program Management skills
Clear and effective communication skills
Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance
Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required
Must have the ability to work in a cross functional environment and possess the capabilities to manage projects and deliverables
Must have leadership experience to provide direction and guidance for complex issue resolution at the factory level
Production Support experience in Windows environment

Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity with product life cycle management and documentation requirements is a plus
Preferred knowledge in servers, switches, VMware technology or Hyper converged systems is a plus.

Education:
â?¢ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or Engineering
â?¢ Project Management skills is a plus, other relevant field preferred but can be substituted with 5+years of direct experience
