Job Summary

AECCOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Structural Engineer to support our bridge inspection practice out of our Conshohocken, PA office. AECOM is pleased to include you in a unique development opportunity, the Graduate Development Program (GDP). This program is designed to support your assimilation into the organization and assist with creating a foundation of knowledge for a successful career at AECOM. The position will involve a combination of office and field work, performing bridge load rating analysis and hands-on inspection of bridge structures throughout the region. Load rating analysis tasks will include the use of commercial bridge analysis software, as well as occasional finite element modeling. Inspection tasks will include hands-on field observation of a variety of structural systems and documentation of defects. This position is a gateway to a rewarding career which will provide opportunities for professional and technical growth, as well as career advancement. AECOM often wins contracts to inspect and analyze some of the most complex and interesting long-span bridges in the area, although we also inspect vast numbers of less complex bridges. This important role offers participation in a variety of challenging projects and a dynamic work environment due to the number, type and size of bridges that make up the vast portfolio of the experienced bridge group this engineer will be joining.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or other related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in bridge design or inspection

  • Structural focused classes

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
