AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Civil Engineer for employment in the Pittsburgh, PA office. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in the development of roadway alignments, hydraulic and hydrologic analysis, stormwater design, traffic control plans, erosion control plans, right-of-way determination, utility coordination, and environmental permitting utilizing Microstation, AutoCAD and a variety of Civil Engineering design software applications and MS Office applications.

  • Assisting with preliminary to final design calculations and plan development, reviewing of field information, possible field inspection of existing facilities and other work consistent with the duties of an entry level engineer.

  • General office administration, including report reproduction, collation and deliveries.

Enthusiastic individuals eager to face new challenges and take on personal responsibilities are best qualified to meet the demands of this work. An Entry level Engineer is expected to be able to apply technical training to perform basic calculations, work well in a team setting and be willing to work diligently to learn new skills.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • E.I.T.

  • Some experience with AutoCAD, Microstation or other civil engineering related software (Civil 3D, Inroads, StormCAD, HydroCAD, Pondpak).

  • Very Familiar with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point)

  • Water Resources or Stormwater focus

  • Drainage and Hydraulic & Hydrology interest

  • Stormwater Design Interest
