SAIC is seeking an Agile Coach/Instructor. In this role the coach will:
  • Provides subject matter expertise in Agile methods and practices. 
  • Provides coaching directly to the federal government on the institutionalization of Agile practices focusing on Scrum, Large Scale Scrum (LeSS), DevOps, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) across the enterprise and to specific organizations, programs, and projects. 
  • Participates and is able to take the lead in the development of Agile guidance and training material. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential due to this position being primarily one of communication, information/training delivery, coaching, and development of related material. 
  • Adapts and tailors Agile practices to the existing government culture. 
  • Helps transition personnel to new agile roles such as scrum master, product owner, and cross-functional team member. 
  • Coordinates across multiple organizational stakeholders. 
  • Provides technical knowledge in the use of Agile tools for capture and management of Agile information including user stories, tasks, acceptance criteria, burndown, and other technical aspects. 
  • Candidate will work alongside an established team of SAIC, government, and subcontractor personnel.


Education/Experience: Per the contract, six (6) years of work experience and Certification as a Scrum Master with Scrum Alliance may be substituted for Bachelors degree. 

Years of work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.  

  • Scrum Master and Agile Delivery Lead experience
  • Mastery of JIRA & Confluence for training Agile leaders and teams
  • Product Owner certified and trained
  • Knowledgeable in task prioritization, risk management and workflow optimization.
  • Committed Agile expert with over 5 years of expertise in public speaking, presenting information clearly and developing high performing teams.
  • Resourceful and dynamic Agile Scrum master with solid experience in onshore and/or offshore coordination.
  • Collaborative individual with ability to remain poised in all types of situations.

Strong Technical command of project management tools

  • Jira

-Well-versed in version control tools

Desired Qualifications


Experience utilizing Agile practice

- Proficient in Scrum.

- Ability to develop guidance and training material that conveys complex issues in simple presentations.

- Ability to perform Agile coaching and conduct training.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience.
