AMENTUM has an exciting opportunity in Afghanistan on the EAGLE contract for�?� Fire Control Systems Repairer repairs and/or modifies mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems and assembles systems, such aselevating, traversing, recoil, rammer and firing systems, breeches, gun tube and cannon tubes, pumps,upolas, shields and their related components. Performs unit, direct support and general support electronic maintenance on the Base Shop Test Facility (BSTS) AN/TSM -191 and Line Replacement Units (LRU), Shop Replacement Units (SRU) and Test Program Sets (TPS). Troubleshoots repairs, cleans, calibrates, modifies and inspects optical, electronic and mechanical fire control instruments including those mounted on self-propelled artillery and tank turrets, and line replaceable units utilized on M1 and M2/3 combat vehicles. Installs supported weapon system test program sets, initiates Unit Under Test (UUT) procedures, and isolates UUT/BSTF pronged circuit board or component alignments and adjustments in accordance with applicable technical publications. Performs initial and final inspections on related equipment. Performs BSTF preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) and operational checks. Installs BSTF equipment modifications, prepares maintenance and supply forms and records, and provides technical assistance for corrective maintenance procedures. Recommends procedures for receipts, storage, inspection testing and repair of BSTF and Line replacement Units. Tests mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance andompliance with manufacturers' specifications. Diagnoses faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, reassembles and adjusts turret components using diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices. Dismantles and reassembles heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.Cleans, lubricates, and performs other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles. Performs corrective maintenance on previously diagnosed malfunctions on fire control systems used in combat vehicles, off-carriage lasers, designators, thermal sights, and night vision equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.
Must be US citizen
Active Secret / Tier 3
Attends classified meetings and requires SIPR and CENTRIX access to classified information necessary to support the USG and documents related to future missions and strategies.
Certification & License:
Valid driver's license required.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
ETT or CETA certification preferred.
4-5 years' experience in direct and general support electronic maintenance required.
Training in Fire Control instrument repair preferred
Specialized knowledge and skills:
Must be able to operate, test and repair unit, direct support and general support electronic maintenance on the Base Shop Test Facility (BSTF), AN/TSM-191 and Line Replaceable Units (LRU), Shop Replaceable
Units (SRU) and Test Program Sets (TPS).
Must be able to obtain Security Clearance.
Must have high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word and Excel, Outlook and other related applications.
Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively during a 77-hour work week.
Must be able to lift 25 lbs. continuously, 50 intermittently.
Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
US Army MOS 91G preferred.
