AMENTUM has an exciting opportunity in Afghanistan on the EAGLE Afghanistan contract for an� Maintenance Operations Lead oversee/perform skilled initial technical inspections, diagnostic service, maintenance, and repair work on automotive and related equipment; in particular the MRAP MaxxPro and MATV-series. NSOCC-A Maintenance Operations Lead requires a high degree of technical knowledge, as well as the ability to exercise independent judgment in determining repair methods. Performs maintenance on different classifications of wheeled vehicles/equipment at the unit and DS/GS levels. Assist the Supervisor with work load schedules, sequence of operations, explains work requirements/procedures, oversees tool room operations and assists with resolving problems. Serve as the Act-For during the Supervisors absence. Normal workload will include performing preventive maintenance tasks on equipment, oversight of troubleshooting procedures for mechanical, hydraulic and electrical problems, ensures servicing heavy equipment under remote/austere expeditionary standards is conducted safely and properly. Key skill sets required for this position are the ability to quickly and accurately determine problem sources to ensure repair parts are ordered correctly the first time; perform preventive maintenance tasks on a variety of vehicles and motorized equipment; understand and effectively carryout verbal and written instructions; read and interpret service manuals, schematics, charts, etc.; handle all physical requirements to repair equipment with manual tools (if necessary); and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and supporting Units. Plans work schedules, sequence of operations and distribution of work. Designates workers, assigns work, explains work requirements, and assists in resolving problems. Reviews accuracy of work and ensures conformance to required standards. Ensure employee adherence to DelTek time sheet procedures. Provides guidance and technical assistance to shop maintenance personnel on inspection principles of workmanship, procedures to be employed, and quality of work expected. Ensures compliance with government and corporate regulations, company SOPs, directives, and technical manuals to establish and maintain a quality management program. Prepares reports and briefings as required. Required to gain access to GCSS-A, IGC, FedMall, LIW and WEBVLIPs for parts and document research. Generates GCSS-A reports as required. Responsible for assigning your personnel into the correct work center in GCSS-A. Responsible for creating and changing your personnel work schedules in GCSS-A as required. Responsible for managing your shops GCSS-A Equipment Status Report (ESR) and the ability to brief statuses equipment on order in GCSS-A.
Cross trains when required to ensure maximum flexibility and possession of technical skills in the
development of maintenance programs. Constantly monitors repair activities to ensure all procedures are performed safely and ensures strict compliance to safety practices and support the AC FIRST Safety Policies and Procedures. Immediately stops all unsafe actions. Instills a safety first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries. Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of the AC FIRST Quality Management System. Performs other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Active Secret / Tier 3
Must be US citizen
Must be able to obtain a Drivers license.
Must be able to obtain an ArmyStandard license.
Must be able to pass General Trade Skill PQS within 30 days of hire. Must be able to obtain USG GCSS-A certification within 90 days.
Full or partial ASE certification, preferred.
Position requires at least 5years of experience with vehicle mechanical repair across a range of light, medium, and heavydutyvehicles, which includes at least 2-3 year of experience in the automotive mechanical repair of the MATV (M1240A1) MRAP variant.
Prior leadership experience preferred.
Work experience maybe substituted for educational requirements and/or educational achievements may
be substituted foryears of experience. Example: Two (2)years of experience is equivalent to (2)years of
college and vice versa.
Must be able to obtain a 5984-E ArmyStandard license upon arrival in Afghanistan.
Must have a collaborativework style that fosters cooperation and teamwork.
Must have knowledge of diagnostic tools and forms used at the unit and DS/GS level. d) Must be able to read vehicle/equipment schematics.
Must be able to obtain a Drivers license.
