AMENTUM has an exciting opportunity as a Maintenance Operations Supervisor in Afghanistan on the Eagle Contract oversee/perform skilled initial technical inspections, diagnostic service, maintenance, and repair work on automotive and related equipment; in particular the MRAP MaxxPro and MATV-series. NSOCC-A Maintenance Operations Supervisor requires a high degree of technical knowledge, as well as the ability to exercise independent judgment in determining repair methods. Oversight for maintenance operations in support of different classifications of wheeled vehicles/equipment at the unit and DS/GS levels in support of NSOCC-A. Supervises and plans work load schedules, sequence of operations, explains work requirements/procedures and primary POC for resolving problems and ensuring quality work production. Coordinates with NSOCC-A customers through scheduled or unscheduled meetings in order to ensure teams work load schedule meets the unconventional operational schedule of their mission. Ensure support is available to the customers timeline. Supervises a professional team encompassing a wide range of functions within the discipline: Interviews, selects and places candidates into open positions. Evaluates staff, comparing objectives and achievements in the assessment. Coaches employees in their professional career development and process improvements. Administers disciplinary action when required. Recommends termination or contract non-renewal when appropriate. Creates employee Performance Appraisals (PA) and reviews with employees. Normal workload will include constant monitoring and supervising preventive maintenance tasks on equipment, oversight of troubleshooting procedures for mechanical, hydraulic and electrical problems under remote/austere expeditionary standards to ensure safety and productivity. Conducts weekly meetings with subordinates to review the status of operational requirements and other matters that pertain to the Performance Work Statement (PWS). required to gain access to GCSS-A, IGC, FedMall, LIW and WEBVLIPs for parts and document research. Generates GCSS-A reports as required and prepares maintenance reports and briefings as required. Provides guidance and assistance to assigned personnel on current practices, and procedures to be employed, quantity and quality of work expected, and tools and materials to be used.
Responsible for assigning your personnel into the correct work center in GCSS-A. Responsible for creating and changing your personnel work schedules in GCSS-A as required. Responsible for managing your shops GCSS-A Equipment Status Report (ESR) and the ability to brief statuses of equipment on order in GCSS-A.
Plans work schedules, sequence of operations and distribution of work. Cross trains when required to ensure maximum flexibility and possession of technical skills in the development of maintenance programs.
Designates workers, assigns work, explains work requirements, and assists in resolving problems.
Immediately stops all unsafe actions. Recommends approved leaves through management.
Maintains time and attendance records. Ensures employee adherence to DelTek time sheet procedures.
Maintains equipment schedules and logs. Accounts for all government and company property that is required, received, stored, and used. Ensures that equipment and supplies are utilized properly. Ensure strict compliance to safety practices and support the AC FIRST Safety Policies and Procedures. Instills a safety first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries. Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of the AC FIRST Quality Management System. Counsels employees on minor problems, resolves complaints, and makes recommendations on appraisals, promotions, awards, and disciplinary actions. Collaborates with direct supervisor of GCSS-A personnel to ensure accurate Employee Performance Appraisal. Reviews accuracy of work and ensures conformance to required standards. Must have the ability to move to and from several sites to ensure appropriate actions are being taken. Performs other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Must be US citizen
Active Secret / Tier 3
Must be able to obtain an ArmyStandard license.
Must be able to pass General Trade Skill PQS within 30 days of hire.
d). Must be able to obtain USG GCSS-A certification within 90 days.
c.) Full or partial ASE certification, preferred.
d.) College degree in related field preferred.
Position requires at least 5years of experience with vehicle mechanical repair across a range of light, medium, and heavydutyvehicles, which includes at least 2-3 year of experience in the automotive mechanical repair of the MATV (M1240A1) MRAP variant.
Prior leadership experience preferred.
Work experience maybe substituted for educational requirements and/or educational achievements may be substituted foryears of experience. Example: Two (2)years of experience is equivalent to (2)years of college and vice versa.
Must be able to obtain a 5984-E ArmyStandard license upon arrival in Afghanistan.
TIA training maybe required for TARP QC Inspectors.
Must have knowledge of diagnostic tools and forms used at the unit and DS/GS level.
Must be able to read vehicle/equipment schematics.
Must have a collaborativework style that fosters cooperation and teamwork.
Valid drivers license, is required.
US ArmyMOS 91B Series or other militaryequivalent preferred.
