SAIC is looking for a Software/ Database O&M Engineer to support the NATSS program in the maintenance/ enhancement of key legacy applications (Java technologies, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL). The applications reside in the Amazon Cloud.

The Software/ Database O&M Engineer will be part of an operations and maintenance team that use agile and iterative software lifecycle methods to maintain and enhance mission-critical software for a Government customer. The engineer will contribute to enhancement of services-based software using Java technologies. In response to occasional inspector general requests for data reports, the engineer will develop ad hoc Oracle SQL and PL/SQL queries on Production data. The engineer will support efforts to sustain, stabilize and optimize key legacy applications residing in the Amazon Cloud.



Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT or engineering/ technical discipline, with minimum 9 years of experience in software development or as an O&M engineer. Additional relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Must have 5 or more years of experience developing software using Java technologies
  • Strong Oracle SQL, PL/SQL database query development skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
