SAIC has an immediate need for an Associate System Administrator to support the Battlefield Systems Engineering Services program (BSES).
System administrator provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Familiar with troubleshooting and managing TCP/IP isolated networks and managing DHCP/DNS
Support in management and troubleshooting of DoD Linux, Windows, and network systems
Support in implementing system and security controls within a DoD IT environment
Assist with installation and configuration of various COTS/GOTS/custom software and systems in accordance with DISA STIGs
Familiarity with vulnerability management of IT systems and maintaining a Plan of Action and Milestones (PoAaM) for Government lab systems in accordance with DoD best practice
Baseline certifications for appointment as a systems administrator per DoD 8570.01-M (Active Security + w/CE), current Microsoft/Linux computing environment certification, or ability to obtain a computing environment certification within 6 months of appointment
