SAIC, in support of the Department of Defense (DoD) – Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) - Office of Transforming All-Source Analysis with Location-Based Object Services (TALOS), will deliver enterprise ITSM/ITIL processes; Server & Storage Management; Desk Side support; Asset Management; Configuration Management; Event Monitoring (EOC) for TALOS. These services will include design, engineering, and implementations for the entire DIA TALOS global enterprise. SAIC is looking for a DIA TALOS team experienced and proven in terms of technology and IT modernization in the US Government Enterprise space.
The Cloud Computing Engineer requires excellent technical abilities.This is the most vital asset for transitioning our customer to a cloud-based information technology (IT) infrastructure. Relevant technical skills and knowledge include but are not limited to: cloud providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure and Google Cloud; databases like MySQL; Java; open source technologies like Openshift, Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, and Fuse. Must have strong interpersonal skills in order to collaborate with colleagues and assist customers. Effective project management skills in order to implement and monitor multiple cloud systems. Need strong analytical abilities to evaluate an organization's technical needs and select the right applications to meet them.
Must possess variety of computing services, such as storage, servers, software, and all asaS (as a Service technologies). Specializing in developing and implementing an organization's cloud services, including cost optimization and security policies. A primary focus is ensuring that content on the cloud is always available and secure for users. Assists with strategic or tactical planning to justify, market, or manage the technology needed for successful business operations. Support user training, as required. Contributes to or develops technical documentation. Contribute to technical presentations. Use applicable methodologies, modeling/estimating techniques, tools, applications, systems, software, or databases to perform assigned tasks. Candidate must compile with the standard and organization requirements relative to specific assignments.
Designs, plans, and integrates cloud computing and virtualization systems. Provides specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, cloud service provider selection, implementation techniques, application & data migration techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Develops and conducts testing of cloud and virtualization systems. Maintains technical expertise relevant industry standards and in cloud computing and virtualization technologies such as cloud service provider architecture, design, and configuration; cloud deployment models including public, community, private, and hybrid; cloud service delivery models including infrastructure-, platform-, and software-as-a-service; automation; hypervisors; containers; virtual compute, storage, and networks; virtual infrastructure management; self-provisioning; and scaling. Evaluates and reports on new cloud and virtualization technologies to enhance capabilities of cloud-based and virtualized services. May also provide systems engineering activities such as: Concept of Operations Formulation, Requirements Definition, Analysis and Engineering, System Architecting, System Analysis and Design, Interface and Data Architectures, Validation and Verification, System Integration, System & Op. Performance Analysis, Lifecycle Cost Analysis & Estimation, Decision Analysis and Physical Configuration Analysis (PCA). Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
