AECOM is seeking a creative, highly-talented Mechanical Engineer for employment in the Little Rock, AR office.
Position responsibilities include coordination with client personnel and other team members; perform studies to develop detail scope of work, cost estimates, and preliminary schedules; prepare design and construction documents including specifications, process and review shop drawings; construction oversight; and all other duties as assigned.
Assist in the design of mechanical piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs) for power plant systems including steam cycle systems, boiler feed and condensate, water treatment, fuel handling, hydraulic, heat transfer systems, conveying systems, and air and gas systems.
Prepare design calculations and specifications for major process plant related equipment including, but not limited to, combustion turbines, steam turbines, boilers, condensers, cooling towers, and pumps.
Prepare mechanical engineering designs, including layout, design sketches, and conceptual design.
Check design deliverables in accordance with industry codes and standards, contract requirements and company standards.
Assist in the development of schedules, work assignments and staffing requirements to ensure successful project completion.
Coordinate with drafters, designers and engineers assigned to the project or a task and review work progress and results.

Responsible for preparing specifications, data sheets, RFQs, and technical bid summaries for mechanical equipment and devices
Prepare construction plans using AutoCAD/Revit.
Review construction documents such as shop drawings, respond to construction contractor requests for information, and attend construction meetings as required.
Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
Prepares technical specification sections.
Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
BS Degree and 2 yore or AS degree and 6 YORE
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5 years of industrial Experience.
Experience in design utilizing AutoCad and Plant 3D.
