Job Summary

AECOM is looking for a Project Controls Engineer for our Paducah, KY location.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate work planning sessions between all levels of staff and craft workers

  • Be able to communicate ideas clearly and effectively

  • Gain knowledge and practice in Lean systems and learn how to incorporate Lean into construction operations

  • Work with others to grow a “continuous improvement” culture

  • Responsible for managing, controlling, forecasting and reporting cost and schedule performance for a construction project.

  • Setup and manage project controls systems (including setup of work breakdown structure), capturing to-date progress and

  • expenditure data.

  • Analyze to-date performance data, forecast at-completion performance data (EAC costs, hours), analyze project risks (contingency

  • management).

  • Manage change and incorporate scope variations into schedule and cost deliverables and prepare associated reports.

  • Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.

  • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.

  • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.

  • Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • BA/BS + 2 years of related experience or AA/AS (US) + 6 years of related experience or Diploma/Certificate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient with the scheduling software Primavera P6 and cost controls software PRISM.
