This position provides for non-personal advisory and technical assistance service to the Commander Naval Air Forces Atlantic (CNAL) and Commander Naval Air Force Pacific (CNAP) Readiness Directorates. CNAL/CNAP is the aviation Type Commander (TYCOM) responsible to U. S. Fleet Forces (USFF) and Commander U. S. Pacific Fleet (CPF) for providing ready, trained, and equipped squadrons, detachments, and aircraft carriers (CVN) to Joint Commanders in support of the National Military Strategy. To support this objective, CNAL/CNAP has a requirement for training readiness metrics and policy development, readiness assessment support, Type Model Series (T/M/S) transition support, and readiness assessment training. This position will directly support readiness policy development, NMETL management, readiness training, and executive level brief preparation for the Carrier Air Wing Readiness Directorate (Code N40).

The candidate for this position shall have experience equivalent to that which might have been acquired by completing a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science or related field and a Master's Degree in a business or related field and/or a combination of education and equivalent experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skill and ability.

Experience Requirements: The candidate for this position shall have general experience of ten years minimum in training management or training development. The candidate shall have a minimum of five years specialized experience in developing training programs or training policy to support Naval Aviation and experience developing CD/DVD based and classroom training tools to support aircraft carrier, squadron, wing, and executive level understanding of Naval Aviation readiness assessment, reporting, policies, and software programs. Preferred experience includes training in development and life cycle support of the following Navy programs and MS Office software:

Defense Readiness Reporting System Strategic (DRRS-S)
CNAL/CNAP Training and Readiness (T&R) policy
Mission Essential Task List (METL) program
Sierra Hotel Aviation Readiness Program (SHARP)
Air Combat Training Continuum (ACTC)
Proficient in the use of MS Office suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel)
The candidate must be capable of presenting training materials to groups of 25 personnel or higher

Security Clearance Requirements: The candidate must have an active SECRET clearance.

Travel: The candidate must be able to travel periodically to Navy Fleet locations to include Norfolk VA, NAS Lemoore, CA, Whidbey Island WA, Hawaii, Japan, FT Worth TX, and Oklahoma City, OK.
