This Engineering position requires at least a DoD Top Secret clearance and is located at Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) in El Segundo, CA.
FTI is currently looking for an Aerospace Engineer to provide engineering support for the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), for the Enterprise Ground Services (EGS) Program. This role will understand Ground and Space C2 systems and develop relationships with mission partners across SMC with the following related tasks:
Create and review architecture models and diagrams using model based systems engineering tools and practices
Develop and implement knowledge management practices and processes for document and software development, review, and testing
Manage software development teams to embed SAFe agile practices to deliver capabilities more frequently, to increase customer feedback, and improve program organization and collaboration
Formulate standards and requirements with mission experts for shared software services across Air Force ground systems
Communicate effectively with SMC leadership in support of ECX Enterprise
Utilize advanced knowledge of aerospace engineering to inform senior level decision points
Review technical specifications, design plans, project criteria, and the team work for compliance to articulated standards while ensuring data integrity and validity
Master’s degree in Aerospace/Systems Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of aerospace engineering
Experiences at Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) is a must
Must have Current TS/SCI clearance and the ability to maintain TS/SCI
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies Prior experience in support of DoD software development
Must possess strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Familiarity with MS Excel and other MS Office tools
Ability to work with cross functional team (i.e. project manager, architectures, engineers, etc.)
Ability to work independently with geographically dispersed team
Strong written and oral communication skills
