Title:

Sr. E3 ENGINEER/SCIENTIST

Role

  • This position supports the NAVAIR 4.1.13 Systems Engineering Branch at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD in the performance of Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) testing, Systems Engineering, and determining Electromagnetic Compatibility for all naval aircraft, support equipment, and weapons systems.

Responsibilities

  • Applies E3 engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, and design, develop, implement, test or evaluate military weapons systems.
  • Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. Applies engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, qualification testing, or acquisition and resource management.
  • Analyzes designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems.

Requirements

  • At least ten (10) years of experience in modeling and simulation; (5) years naval aviation
  • CST Studio Suite for lightning (time domain) and COSITE (frequency domain) modeling of the Triton IFC4 aircraft
