Board-Certified Aerospace Medicine Specialist



KBR is seeking a Board-Certified Aerospace Medicine Specialist to support the 711th Human Performance Wing, Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright Patterson AFB and to help advance human performance in air, space, and cyberspace through research, education, and consultation. The Aerospace Medicine Specialist will be providing support to our most critical Air Force resource – the Airman of our operational military forces.

The Board-Certified Aerospace Medicine Specialist will be responsible for providing medical support to our Airmen during training and research in the 711 HPW centrifuge and research altitude chambers. Responsibilities include conducting flight physicals, monitoring centrifuge and altitude chamber participant health and responding to any immediate medical response required. Additionally, the Medical Specialist will participate in a lead role supporting the Emergency Response Team, providing medical SME expertise for incident response and any IRB protocol updates and or changes that may be required.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Board certified aerospace medicine specialist
  • 5 years of experience as a flight medicine specialist
  • Experience with military medical standards

  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team and demonstrated interpersonal/conflict-resolution skills
  • Knowledge of research practices and principles

Desired Education, Experience, Skills or Training:

Experience providing medical treatment and aerospace medicine expertise within the Department of Defense operational environment.
