Description

The National Security Group of SAIC is actively seeking a Cyber Operations Planner with an active TS/SCI in Colorado Springs, CO. 


JOB DESCRIPTION:  

As a member of a small team within the Space Security & Defense Program, the successful applicant will perform analysis and provide advice based on their experience as a subject matter expert in offensive cyberspace operations and related tools, techniques, procedures, line-of-effort and course-of-action development, weaponeering and capability gap identification.  Individual will employ modelling and simulation tools and techniques to translate complex, technical aspects of cyberspace operations into clear, succinct language for technical and non-technical audiences at all levels in both written and briefed products is essential.

Excellent potential for 1) playing lead role in designated tasks of the project team in gathering, organizing and analyzing data; 2) making major contributions in assuring products/deliverables meet contract/work plan and; 3) strong potential for growth and acceptance of additional responsibilities

 

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience.
  • Demonstrated experience performing internal and external vulnerability assessments
  • Performing well-controlled vulnerability exploitation/penetration testing on applications, network protocols, and databases
  • Assisting in the selection and tailoring of approaches, methods and tools to support space-related projects
  • Facilitating use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services 

Desired Qualifications

 

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Understanding customer’s environment and basic risk management approaches
  • Experience creating models of complex networks of entities spanning all warfighting domains, and running simulation tools that test hypotheses and evaluate sensitivity to change
  • Background in space operations and related capabilities
  • Actively participating in decision making with engagement management and understanding the broader impact of current decisions
  • Generating innovative ideas that challenge the status quo
