Job Summary

Work as a bridge designer for a wide variety of local design projects including grade separations, bridge rehabilitation, railroad bridges, and design-build pursuits.

Work as a Project bridge design team leader

Work as a bridge designer on local and national complex structural design projects

Perform structural design for MassDOT, NHDOT and other New England DOT Projects

Utilize technical writing skills to write specifications, feasibility studies, evaluations and reports

Ability to work under pressure to meet tight project schedules

Areas of expertise include: bridge design, plan preparation, preparation of technical specifications, technical reports, design calculations, construction cost estimates and provisions of construction phase services.

Ability to work with various multi-disciplined teams and communicate effectively with engineers from other disciplines.

Familiarity with bridge scour and structural countermeasure design

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 4 plus years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 6 plus years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
