Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to help grow our Richmond and central Virginia work. The qualified applicant will have experience in water/wastewater engineering and construction management principles, and will be familiar with the design, construction and operation of municipal water and/or wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure. Special consideration will be given to those individuals with a proven record of Client management and business development. The position includes project planning and design, construction services oversight, schedule/budget management and client interface, all in an interesting and rewarding consulting engineering work environment. The successful candidate will be expected to communicate effectively with project team members, have a high level of initiative and motivation to deliver quality results, have strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to work with clients to provide value-added solutions and maintain strong client relationships.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited university

  • 8+ years of relevant experience with 4-6 years of demonstrated project management experience

  • Professional Engineer in Virginia or ability to obtain reciprocity within six (6) months of hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in teams

  • Experience in coordination with regulatory agencies

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite

  • Project Management Professional or training in project management

  • Valid Driver’s License
