Responsible for all or some segments of the general accounting function. Ensures the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data and revenue.
Maintains general and subsidiary ledgers of the company and related joint ventures, preparing operating and financial statements.
Review and manage junior team members work including monthly reconciliations, JE’s, flux analyses, ad hoc projects, quarterly tax filings, etc
Develop a more efficient and shorter accounting close process, improve close management, communication, and review (e.g. close calendar, checklist, close meeting, close updates)
Supervises fixed asset accountant and monthly reporting of fixed assets
Responsible for journal entries, general ledger, revenue reconciliation and cash flows
Ensures compliance with GAAP and other regulatory or governmental regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley, Cost Accounting Standards, (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR)
Assists in the development of policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting and/or payroll.
Assists with the installation and maintenance of new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property and other related procedures and controls
BA/BS in Accounting or finance or related + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Advanced MS Office/Excel skills (including V-Look Ups and Pivot tables)
CPA a plus
4+ Years in a Supervisory role
Experience in Construction Industry a plus
3+ years audit experience preferred
