Job Summary

  • Develops fundamental knowledge of planning and scheduling concepts and principles including effects on financial performance.

  • Develops familiarity with data sources for schedule development.

  • Ability to identify and investigate project schedule variance.

  • Collects data and updates and produces scheduling reports.

  • Assists in the development and maintenance of work breakdown structures (WBS).

  • Develops familiarity with construction drawings, specifications and construction contracting.

  • Possesses a fundamental understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling. Able to review and understand engineering, procurement and construction schedule logic

  • Assists in assembling data for schedule updating.

  • Assists in the measurement of project schedule progress

  • Develops knowledge of scope control, change management and earned value methodology.

  • Supports data gathering and produces an initial analysis for schedule baseline development and maintenance data gathering.

  • Exposure to basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, concepts and principles.

Minimum Requirements

Leads and manages the development, implementation, User trainings and administers web-based program management information system (PMIS). The specific system being used is AECOM’s PMIS application based on Trimble’s Proliance (AMPS). Develops and maintains professional working knowledge and abilities in the application of systems, principles, theories, and concepts providing solutions to a variety of situations and challenges. Also, able to understand and manage Planning/Project Controls function.


  • Work with the project team to map the business processes, procedures and activities for use of the PMIS.

  • Coordinate for identification of application criteria, specifications, data elements and work breakdown structures

  • Develop, Implement and administer AMPS systems for new packages and ongoing program

  • Configure systems as necessary to meet program requirements

  • Train, mentor and develop the skills of core system users among the project staff

  • Field queries from Clients, Project staff (includes Senior management), consultants and contractors

  • Identify and analyze system malfunctions and make recommendations toward their resolution.

  • Advise senior management of the status of the implementation of systems on a regular basis

  • Keep immediate superior informed of situations beyond the individual's control or authority to act.

  • Develop and update Program/Project schedules on Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project

  • Understand Project Planning / Scheduling methodology

  • Develop and distribute advance level Executive Project Reports and Dashboards in MS Excel/Spreadsheet

  • Anticipate problem areas and provide recommendations prior to need arising

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years experience in a responsible position on the implementation and/or operation of a Project Management Information System such as Trimble’s Proliance.

Minimum 05 years of experience in PMIS Systems Implementation

Minimum 05 Years of experience in Project Management & Program/Project Controls

Overall 10 -15 Years of Experience required

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in project controls procedures and systems on design and construction projects is desirable.

Knowledge of document control and document management principles, office methods and procedures is desirable.
