Position Overview

KBR is currently seeking an experienced Advanced Sr. IT Customer Support Analyst / Systems Administrator to work in support of the NAVAIR Fleet System Array (NFSA) and the NAVAIR Logistics Information Technology and Maintenance Integration Solution (LITMIS) environment. The Sr. Systems Administrator must be customer focused in support of our warfighter mission and have a broad technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2016 Operating System (OS), IIS, Java and .NET based applications, Local Area Networks (LANS), and Wide Area Networks (WANs) with knowledge of TCP/IP infrastructure, Host Based Security System (HBSS) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) operation.

The Sr. Systems Administrator will also be responsible for configuration and maintenance of server hardware, storage array and network equipment. The Sr. Systems Administrator will be part of a team responsible for the integration, configuration, test, deployment, and sustainment of the Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity Mid-Tier (OOMA MT), the JTDI Delivery Management Service (JDMS), legacy Joint Knowledge Caching Server (JKCS), and the Joint Deficiency Reporting System Lite (JDRS Lite).

The Sr. Systems Administrator will provide sustainment support for NFSA deployed systems to include hardware, software, configuration management, and documentation updates on existing systems.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide daily status situational report (SITREP) to NFSA contractor team lead and Project lead
  • Work with Project lead on technical resources required for deployment and integration projects
  • Provide continual service improvement feedback on sustainment support activities and make recommendations to improve NFSA sustainment support to the war fighter
  • Maintain Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) baseline for production instances of NFSA systems, Java, .NET, and IIS
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to assist team members with problems reported by NFSA sites
  • Leverage Service Desk ticketing system to track and document completed tasks
  • Support IA team Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M) requests and response
  • Work with Navy Ship, Shore, and Marine Corps MALS sites to coordinate maintenance activities that impact system availability
  • Provide proactive incident response to break-fix activities impacting system readiness
  • Maintain LITMIS system baselines
  • Conduct ACAS scans on baseline system and provide results as a benchmark for IA compliance
  • Conduct IA patch testing and validation within the environment to ensure interoperability with deployed systems
  • Coordinate with application owners to conduct testing of updates for deployed applications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences, Technology or related field and 8 years’ experience or 16 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Hypervisor technologies to include VMware ESXi and Windows Hyper-V
  • Specific experience with Microsoft Operating System 2016
  • Specific experience with IIS 7.5 or greater
  • Experience with a variety of LAN switches and TCP/IP networking
  • Experience with Storage Area Networks (SAN)
  • Current Security + certification
  • Current Operating System (OS) certification
  • Secret clearance with SSBI or Top Secret Clearance (preferred)
