AECOM Canada is actively looking for a VP, Cities Growth Strategy, Canada.
Reporting to the Region Executive and the Executive Vice President, Business Development, Office of Growth, the Vice President, Cities Growth Strategy, Canada is responsible for developing growth strategies for AECOM’s Canadian operations in the Greater Toronto region. This entails strategies for:
Positioning AECOM within the Canadian infrastructure marketplace.
Growing and maintaining relationships with key clients and partners, both in the public and private sectors.
Interacting with governments and public agencies at the federal, provincial/territorial and municipal levels, showing the power of all of our business lines acting together.
Growth across all infrastructure sectors in the Greater Toronto region, coordinating with activities in other Canadian urban regions, including Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Ottawa and Vancouver.
Raise the profile of AECOM as a full service provider across all business lines.
In developing strategies for growth, the Vice President, Growth and Strategy works closely with key regional leaders, including the Regional Business Line Leaders for Transportation, Water, Buildings and Places, Project Management/Construction Management, Environment and Energy/Nuclear Power. In addition, the Vice President, Growth and Strategy works closely with AECOM’s National Business Line Leaders involved in growth, business development and markets for The Americas.
The key performance measurement for the position is higher success levels on key pursuits, accomplished by demonstrating AECOM’s commitment to thought leadership in the areas of highest interest to large cities/urban regions, earlier and improved positioning, and marshalling solutions that cross all business lines.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Works independently to direct, establish, maintain and plan the overall policies and goals for a bid management group or office.
Responsible for developing and guiding new proposal opportunities that will ensure sustained profit growth within the business unit.
Has significant prior business experience supporting the development of proposals.
May direct the activities of employees dedicated to attaining large contracts or business of significant financial impact.
Has extensive knowledge of the business to support cross-discipline, business line, and region collaboration.
Generally has hands-on cost proposal development.
