Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a talented and experienced Safety Coordinator to support AECOM Maryland Transit Authority rail transit construction for the Office of Safety Management and Risk Control


  • Represent Safety in construction progress meetings

  • Serve as the liaison (between safety and construction) for status updates on active projects

  • Provide construction design review monitoring and tracking from design to completion for the safety office

  • Schedule, monitor, and maintain safety's presence and participation during design/construction meetings with safety/loss control inspectors representing the broker

  • Service as the point of contact for resident engineers regarding the process MTA has in place to coordinate construction schedules and progress meetings

  • Participate in quarterly OCIP Meetings as an ongoing effort to monitor and track site visits, reports and schedules with each project.

  • May also serve in the capacity of supporting risk management activities within the office of Safety, Quality Assurance, and Risk Management.

  • Loss Prevention support for Claims Management and Construction activities.

  • Risk management administrative services such as participating in MTA Work Block Meetings

  • Processing Railroad Protective Liability (RRPL) applications for projects/maintenance that are outside the OCIP

  • OSHA Compliance (300) Log tracking monitoring

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 6 Years of Related Experience or demonstrated equivalency and/or education

  • Construction Safety knowledge

  • Risk Management knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

  • Rail/Transit Construction Safety experience
