Frontier Technology Inc. is looking for a highly experienced IT Network Architect or Cyber Security Architect to become part of the core contractor support team standing up a revitalized Cyber Security Branch within the Defense Healthcare Management Systems Modernization Program Management Office (DHMSM PMO). You will update existing as well as design new complex security structures supporting the infrastructure for pre-production and production environments (including networks and hosting), for computer applications and computer systems security, and endpoint security. Your work will inform security policies and procedures, assess security course of action costs and risks, and provide knowledgeable guidance to involved peers, team members and related stakeholders.

This Cyber Security Mission Support team is charged with creating a culture of highly informed risk awareness and risk management, support for continuous process improvement, adoption and use of automated tools with high value information to enhance mission operation effectiveness and improve the security posture across the portfolio of assigned IT capabilities.
Frontier’s work is focused on identifying opportunities for organizational improvement and transformation across the organizations that are part of the Defense Healthcare Management Systems Program Executive Office (PEO DHMS). Our work applies the methodologies, data and decision support tool capabilities we developed under the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. Your work as part of our team will advance this unique set of capabilities in powerful new ways for the Military Health System and the Department of Defense as they deliver on the key objectives of Improved Readiness, Better Health, Better Care, and Lower Costs.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the design, delivery, updating, administration, and/or operation of enterprise IT systems, networks, and environments;
Minimum of 5 years continuous progressive experience as an IT network and/or cyber security architect designing and updating systems, networks, environments and endpoints to meet (if not exceed) the expected risk management objectives and compliance requirements;
Knowledge of and experience with the practices and methods of IT strategy, enterprise architecture and security architecture;
Knowledge of third-party auditing and cloud risk assessment methodologies;
Experience designing and recommending enhancements to the IT network infrastructure and IT security systems based on identified security gaps;
Experience supporting the preparation of system security reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends;
Experience with aligning standards, frameworks and security with overall business and technology strategy;
Experienced in the identification and communication of current and emerging security threats;
Extensive experience in information security and/or IT risk management with a focus on security, performance and reliability
Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization and security
Good working knowledge of current IT risks and experience implementing security solutions
Experience implementing multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, identity management or related technologies
Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain and enforce security measures
Demonstrated ability to identify risks associated with business processes, operations, information security programs and technology projects;
The ability to be the enterprise security subject matter expert who can explain technical topics to those without a technical background;
Knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and protecting patient information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is desired;
Experience establishing disaster recovery procedures and conducting security incidents tabletop exercises;
Experience with DoD and/or Federal Government Cyber Security Risk Management principles, standards and assessments;
Experience with adopting automated tools to improve the operations of the cyber security mission itself is desired;
Proficient at creating artifacts, workflows, and other required documentation to support the Cyber efforts;
Requires active DoD Secret clearance, and active and/or ability to obtain DoD TS clearance.
Education and Certification:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems MIS, Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Cyber Security, or a related field;
Desired advanced higher education certification or degree in Cyber Security, IT Systems Management, IT Engineering, or related;
Should hold Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification or GIAC Security Expert (GSE) certification from Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC), or demonstrated equivalent.
