Job Summary

The Program and Project Management (PPM) business line specializes in the management of design and construction of community infrastructure facilities for education, healthcare, national governments, sports and leisure, justice, cultural venues, and commercial needs. From concept through completion, we provide necessary technical and administrative services to help our clients meet their program objectives. Our professionals serve as an extension of our clients' staff, protecting their interests as our own, and often working within our clients' offices. As an industry leader in program and project management, we oversee activities ranging from planning, coordination, scheduling and cost control, to design, construction and commissioning.

AECOM is hiring a Program Manager to join our growing Program and Project Management business in California. This individual will be based in Orange, Los Angeles, or San Diego, California and will be involved with our Government Market Sector.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Provide project management and program management support of ongoing projects, and administrative support including, but not limited to: project management, planning; deliverables tracking; and task management support

  • Assist in providing program administrative duties including staffing and training

  • Manage complex program and projects to deliver services and results that meet or exceed client requirements and are aligned with AECOM’s objectives

  • Review project proposal or plan to determine and establish time frame, work plan, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and available resources to various phases of projects

  • Establish levels of control and detail, planning and scheduling, cost analysis and forecasting, progress measurement, earned value performance, risk analysis and change control

  • Provide advice, guidance, mentoring and direction to subordinates and other junior personnel toward the achievement of their personal development goals

  • Responsible for overall planning, coordination and execution from inception to completion to produce a functionally and financially viable projects that will be completed on time, within authorized cost, and to the required quality

  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and change management

  • Accommodate additional responsibilities as assumed through personal initiative or assigned by higher authority

  • Assist the owner in monitoring and assessing contract impact due to contract modifications and assist the owner in the contract modification process

  • Provide acquisition management planning and execution support

  • Will act as primary point of contact for client

  • Supervisory duties for managing onsite AECOM and sub-consultant staff

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus eight (8) years of related experience

  • Experience working with public sector clients managing multiple projects or a large program

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Architecture or related field

  • 15 years’ experience in Project and Program Management with at least 3 years as Program Manager

  • GSA experience strongly preferred

  • CCM, PE or other professional certification is desired

  • Management and supervisory experience

  • Design-Build experience highly preferred

  • HSPD12 clearance, or ability to secure

  • Experience with lease TI projects
