This position requires an active DoD SECRET clearance.

The Information Assurance Specialist will support the Marine Corps with the responsibilities in the functional area of Information Assurance and Cyber Security to support the prevention of damage to, protection of, and restoration of computers, electronic communications systems, electronic communications services, wire communication, and electronic communications. 

Requirements:

Minimum Secret Clearance

Possess IAT Level I/II credentials with an active CompTIA Security+ or equivalent

Experience with Marine Corps Certification and Accreditation Support Tool (MCCAST)

Strong working knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) process

Experience with security tools such as Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), and Ports, Protocols, and Services (PPS), HP Fortify, and nMAP

Strong knowledge and experience with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)

Perform vulnerability assessments and security control checks

Knowledge of DoD acquisitions and experience with supporting United States Marine Corps (USMC) tactical programs

Knowledge of VMware vSphere vCenter, Windows Server 2016, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7

Experience with remediation, mitigation, and reporting activities in response to Assessment & Authorization, Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM), and Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM)

The ability to work independently as well as collectively within a team, strong oral and written communication skills, and attention to detail

Supervises lesser-experienced information security professionals. Prepares evaluation reports.

Education:

• BA degree in Computer Science, IT, or other related field preferred
