Position Duties: Develops, codes, tests, and debugs new software or enhancements to existing software. Possesses a good understanding of business applications. Works with technical staff to understand and resolve software problems, resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements. May be involved in the development of software user manuals and demonstrate software.Performs maintenance on existing software products. Assists in coding, testing, and debugging new software or making enhancements to existing software. Writes programs according to specifications from higher-level personnel. Suggests solutions for problems or software enhancements. May assist in the development of user manuals and work with technical staff to learn and understand problems with software. Attends on-going training sessions to achieve a higher level of technical skill.
Requires the ability to develop, code, test, and debug new software or enhancements; strong communications, organizational, and client-interface skills; and the ability to obtain a Polygraph clearance. Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related is preferred.
