SAIC is hiring a VDI Engineer to join our team !

SAIC has excellent opportunities for Systems Engineers to facilitate modernization of Army IT delivery.
Applicants will work in a dynamic team environment and will be responsible for working with the Army customers, users, and commercial partners to capture and negotiate requirements, user stories and operations concepts and then develop and field solutions to directly enhance the end user experience.
Applicant will work closely with Platform/OS and Software Engineers, System Testers, and Project Managers to facilitate changes across all parts the enterprise network environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written are required for customer interactions. Strong initiative, teamwork and problem solving skills are also required.
Development and configuration of an enterprise VDI deployment to serve over 25K users across multiple sites
Create master image files for deployment in a VMware Workspace One enterprise
Design and implement virtual desktop environments to include server infrastructure in a hybrid cloud environment
Perform application virtualization
Create design documentation, briefings, and other written materials in support of the project
Work with the customer, users, and other supporting engineers to effectively analyze user requirements, user stories, and operations concepts and apply IT solutions to identified issues
Performs high level requirement assessments and designs systems to enable the desired end user experience across the network
Create and/or update all documentation for design, and change instruments
Assist in appropriate policy development to manage VDI environment and enable BYOD use cases
Leads systems architecture design and integration efforts with other systems supporting the end to end delivery of services from the device to the cloud
Provides Tier III/IV level expertise post implementation
Develops run books, help articles, and other documentation to assist other technicians for continuity
Communicates inward to the organization and outward to customer contacts
Work effectively in a team setting to collaborate around ideas and bring them to reality
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelors in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or similar degree and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years of more experience; High School Diploma and thirteen (13)
The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and professionally represent the program.
Highly motivated individual willing to learn and apply new concepts, tools, and software
Good verbal and written communication skills, especially with other organizations
Must be a US Citizen and have an active secret clearance
VMware VCAP (VMware Certified Advanced Professional) certification or VCP (VMware Certified Professional) certification prior to start date
