Description

Put your creativity to work! SAIC is seeking an Android Mobile Software Developer to work in a collaborative, team-focused environment. 


The candidate should be able to complete software development efforts using all aspects of the software engineering life cycle including scope and work estimation, design, documentation, implementation, testing and integration. 

Assist in determining and recommending the best designs based on customer business objectives, timelines and other resource constraints. 

Must be dynamic, innovative, self-starting, and a problem solver. 

Must have the aptitude and attitude to tackle unsolved technical challenges.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Requires a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or equivalent engineering degree, OR four (4) additional years of demonstrated equivalent technical expertise with 2+years of experience.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of product software engineering experience
  • Must have experience in Android development
  • Must have ability to write scripts and tools as needed with minimal guidance
  • Must have ability to design code
  • Must have some understanding/knowledge of secure coding practice.

Desired Qualifications

 
  • Collectively, the software engineer will ideally have hands-on experience with working with, developing in, and developing for some the following environments: Microsoft Windows, Linux, Unix, Smart phone operating systems for mobile devices, MAC/OS, OSX, Unix, and DOS 
  • Development experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python (or similar scripting language), C/C++, Visual Basic, and .Net Programming (C#, .Net Visual Basic)
