We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Information Assurance/Security Specialist to join our team in Omaha, NE to begin an exciting and challenging career with SAIC. Works within and across practices and organizations to provide leading-edge technology or application solutions that result in meeting DoD Security standards, where the focus is on development and delivery. Develops, implements and supports integrated solutions for U.S. Air Force Weather domain. Takes responsibility for the complete integrity of a solution. Interfaces with the government security managers and users on technical issues. Constructs, installs, and implements products or complex technology or application solutions for a unit or organization. Provides design and technical support on services/products solutions, utilizing current and emerging technologies. Provides technical presentations to internal and external clients. Responsibilities: • Determines enterprise information assurance and security standards. • Develops and implements information assurance/security standards and procedures. • Coordinates, develops, and evaluates security programs for an organization. Recommends information assurance/security solutions to support customers' requirements. • Identifies, reports, and resolves security violations. • Establishes and satisfies information assurance and security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands. • Supports customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies. • Applies know-how to Government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures. • Performs analysis, design, and development of security features for system architectures. • Analyzes and defines security requirements for computer systems which may include mainframes, workstations, and personal computers. • Designs, develops, engineers, and implements solutions that meet security requirements. • Provides integration and implementation of the computer system security solution. • Analyzes general information assurance-related technical problems and provides basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems. • Performs vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle. • Ensures that all information systems are functional and secure.
Position Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 10 years of related experience or equivalent blend of education and experience. • Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. • Plans and leads major technology assignments. • Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. • Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others. • Focal point for facility emergency situation. • Usually leads and directs a team of individual contributors with specific assigned program objectives.
