Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

Role and Responsibilities


KBR is currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) for the Joint Technical Data Integration (JTDI). The QAS will provide development of the project Software Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) and the implementation of ITIL processes that conform to the requirements of the task order. The QAS will also provide an independent assessment of how the IPT project's processes implementation relative to the defined requirements and recommends methods to optimize the organization's processes. The QAS is responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory and programmatic requirements; conducts audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation; and develops and implements procedures and test plans for assuring quality in a system development environment that supports large databases and applications.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Daily status and reporting of JTDI integration projects to contractor and government IPT lead
  • Participate in quality assurance After Action Reporting (AAR) to support ITIL Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) to satisfy project, schedule, and problem resolutionEducation Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree BS/BA from an accredited college or university in an IT related field or a related field plus four (4) years’ experience.Experience Requirements: Requires at least five (5) years of experience in quality management, of which at least two (2) years were spent in a supervisory capacity. Experiencemust include the following: directing quality planning for software, and/or information technology systems; evaluating specifications and standards; analyzing IT product support requirements; evaluating metrics; determining system effectiveness; developing Quality Assurance processes and plans; and establishing site sustainment.Specialized Experience: Experience in developing programmatic quality processes and strategies, working with military operational units in at least two (2) of the service components to activate sites, pre-deployment planning, designing, and verifying operational effectiveness of hardware and software systems, and providing customer support and quality management. A SECRET clearance required.
