SAIC is currently seeking an Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle Concept (OMFV) Team Software Developer for our Fort Benning, GA location.
The candidate must be capable of developing software and creating new models focused on the military utility of potential future Army capabilities and systems related to the Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle Concept (OMFV). Position requires a Simulation Integration Engineer to support the Maneuver Battle Lab (MBL), Ft Benning, GA to support the MBL contractor leadership in accomplishing simulation interface analysis and development. Applicant will work with a team that is applying High Level Architecture (HLA), Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) protocols, and other emerging simulation interoperability standards to existing and emerging simulations used by the US Army. Applicant will assist enabling simulation federations that support distributed experimentation, test, evaluation and studies across several major Army commands.
Bachelors and four (4) years or more experience; (4 year equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree)
Selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
Duties and experience include:
The position requires frequent direct contact with the customer and other government staff members.
Candidate will be highly technical and require proven ability to code in Java, C# and/or C++.
Applicant must be comfortable working independently with minimum supervision in a team environment.
Experience in Linux operating system API access procedures is required.
Possession or ability to obtain a CompTIA A+ certification is required.
Preference given to candidates who have experience with simulation software and models including One Semi Automated Forces (OneSAF).
The candidate will be required to coordinate with various agencies to ensure parametric data in the experiment are synchronized with Army, Program Manager-Maneuver Combat Systems (PM MCS), and Maneuver Center of Excellence requirements.
