Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Construction Manager, this position will have overall responsibility for the design and coordination of technical issues among various disciplines on transportation projects involving highways, bridges and transit/rail structures and facilities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Brief Owner's representative of project status on a daily basis.

  • Notify Owner's representative's the status of the work on weekly basis.

  • Coordinate actions needed by Owner

  • Review and advise Owner of Schedule impacts.

  • Initiate potential change orders to the contractor

  • Review and recommend for approval contract changes

  • Coordinate with the engineer of record to resolve design issues.

  • Manage inspection staff.

  • Coordinate Special Inspections

  • Monitor Force Account work.

  • Manage Commissioning process.

  • Review and recommend for approval Contractor's pay requests.

  • Conduct inspections as necessary.

  • Be the point-of-contact for any emergencies associated with the construction

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • 20 years of building construction experience.

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or architecture

  • OSHA 10 hr Construction Safety training certification
