AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Staff Scientist. This job is based out of Ashland, WI and will be managed out of Stevens Point, WI. The ideal candidate would possess excellent communication skills, ability to learn complex topics quickly, and ability to travel as needed.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Perform various field tasks, such as contractor oversight, field screening, and sample collection.
Communicate and interact effectively and successfully with fellow AECOM employees and contractors.
Record data neatly, accurately, and legibly.
Work outdoors at project sites for a significant portion of the year
BA/BS + None or AA/AS (US) + 2 YORE or Diploma/Certificate (Canada) + 2 YORE or HS/GED + 4 YORE
Bachelor’s degree in geology, environmental science or other related discipline (e.g., geophysics, hydrogeology, geochemistry, environmental geology, engineering geology, environmental engineering).
Valid State Driver's License
General knowledge of basic geologic principles and the environmental sciences.
Proficiency in standard office suite software applications.
Ability to demonstrate professional demeanor in written and verbal communications with clients, regulatory officials, and fellow employees.
Ability to write and to convey complex thoughts and ideas in a clear, concise manner. Ability to learn through on-the-job experience.
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds and safely drive a full-size pickup truck.
Tolerance for work in outdoor environments in a range of weather conditions and be medically fit for wearing a respirator.
Ability to conform to AECOM Travel Policies, including ability to obtain and hold the AECOM corporate credit card for use in making travel-related purchases.
Ability to travel, including extended travel, when necessary.
