AECOM Hunt is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Estimator for employment in the Los Angeles, CA office. This opportunity is estimated to begin May 2020. Works with the Company estimating systems and processes.
Acquire basic level of understanding of estimating terminology, measures, concepts and principles for preparing estimates.
Recognizes how various processes/project actions and assumptions may impact estimates.
Under supervision prepares bid packages, conceptual estimates and analysis of subcontractor bids, etc. for projects.
Performs duties with limited complexity under direct supervision, such as material take offs, compilation of historical data, etc.
Expected to assist in the preparation of larger and more complex estimating assignments including the Estimate Plan.
Introduced to the Company estimating systems and processes.
Introduced to estimating terminology, measures, concepts and principles for preparing estimates.
Exposed to various processes, project actions and assumptions that may impact estimates.
Gathers, calculates and compiles data for use in developing all types of estimates.
Performs the routine aspects of estimating assignments.
Assists senior specialists in performing various estimating functions as required.
Exposed to drawings, specifications, work breakdown structures, charts of accounts, published and internal data used in preparing estimates.
Bachelor's degree majoring in construction management, building technology, civil engineering, environmental engineering or similar major
Ability to follow direction and manage specific tasks to completion
Ability to learn new technologies and concepts
Demonstrated leadership abilities
Willing to work a variety of tasks alone or as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
