AECOM is actively seeking a self-motivated Transportation Planner for immediate employment within our Technology Solutions Department in the Austin, Texas office. The position provides the opportunity to work on exciting, challenging, and high-profile transportation projects.
This opportunity is anticipated to begin May/June 2020.
Job Functions include:
Supporting research and technical analyses on connected and autonomous vehicles (CAV)
Applying planning concepts to emerging mobility technology
Assisting on multimodal planning, traffic safety, and scenario planning projects
Creatively solving multimodal transportation problems
Analyzing a wide range of transportation data and managing the completion of technical analyses, feasibility studies, and other transportation reports or memorandums
Assisting with GIS mapping tasks and analysis of socioeconomic, land use development, environmental impacts, travel behavior, and transportation demand concepts
Develop supporting figures using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator and mapping for various projects using GIS
Develop Presentations to internal and external customers.
Efficiently manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Good communication skills and team spirit
Work in a collaborative fast paced team environment.
Proficient with Geospatial Software (ArcGIS, QGIS, CAD, etc.)
Proficient with MS Office suite
Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and preparing graphics and visuals
Demonstrate excellent written, verbal and graphical skills
