AECOM is looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager - Environmental Remediation to join our Salt Lake City, UT office.
This position will have overall responsibility for the design and coordination of technical issues among various stages of the remediation project life cycle. Depending on the scope, size and nature of the project, the position will either be assigned to the Overall Project Manager or function as the Project Manager. Duties and responsibilities include but aren't limited to:
Lead the design and implementation of projects from assessment, concept development, remedial action, through development of final contract documents or regulatory coordination
Provide technical support during implementation of remedial actions
Coordinate the technical content of projects with various disciplines (i.e., GIS and Risk Management) and supervise any subconsultants
Ensure the quality of the technical documents including responding to client’s comment
Interface with clients at meetings to discuss and coordinate the design
Support the marketing activities by development of proposals
Manage and lead the overall project including technical, financial, schedule, and client satisfaction
Advise senior management of the project status on a regular basis
Establish scope, work plan and work schedule and ensure this is communicated to the Project Staff and Department Managers
Comply with company’s safety awareness program, office and/or field safety policies
Assure conformance with contractual obligations by ensuring that contract documents are reviewed and approved prior to release to the client
Interface with clients on schedule, meetings and issues
Train, mentor and develop staff
Assist in marketing and proposal preparation
Ensure that QA/QC procedures are being implemented and ensure the technical quality of documents
Anticipate potential schedule or priority delays and initiate plans for alternative actions
Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies
Provides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.
Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.
Responsible for administering the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout. Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned project.
Experience in the assessment and remediation of former manufactured gas plant sites
Experience preparing Remedial Action design and Work Plans
Experience preparing Remedial Action Emissions Abatement Plans
Experience managing Risk Management programs
