Title:

GVSC Senior Configuration Management Aalyst

This position will support Ground Vehicle Support Center (GVSC) Product Lifecycle Engineering under the Configuration Management (CM) Team.

Senior analyst responsible for leading, conducting, monitoring, and coordinating CM activities on assigned technology areas which are applied across vehicle system lines and/or on emerging or fielded components, subsystems and total systems. Additional duties include:

  • Validate and release drawing packages, including Engineering Release Records (ERRs), and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), into the product data management system for assigned system(s) or as assigned by team lead. Resolve any issues preventing the release of drawings into the system.
  • Directs and participates in the preparation of production & prototype engineering, configuration and data management (project inception through fielding of developed system), and technical field support.
  • Directs and participates in the preparation of program plans, configuration management plan, CM sections of the Statement of Work (SOW), documentation, schedules, budgets, and milestones necessary for the overall planning and execution of the assigned program.
  • Perform analysis of engineering documents to aid in problem solving, planning and change proposals.
  • Validate internal and/or external engineering documents to insure compliance.
  • Insures data package integrity by identifying inaccuracies and recommending changes.
  • Reviews and evaluates technical information, intelligence data and other information to keep current on developments relating to projects in the United States and other countries, and assures that the latest engineering and scientific knowledge is applied to the projects or programs involved.
  • Identify PDMLink software/data errors and deficiencies and report them to the ACE/Windchill Helpdesk.
  • Prepare and submit weekly activity reports to team leader and others as requested.
  • Assist in the identification, collection and recording of metrics for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Must be self-motivated and engaging, be able to operate autonomously in both individual or team environments to meet mission requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. A minimum of 8 years related experience in the configuration management or related field.
  • Must be a US citizen , applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. An active secret level security clearance is preferred.
  • Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Must have good writing skills
  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must have ability to use MS Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, databases)
  • Must have good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must have customer service and teamwork attitude

Preferred Experience:

  • CM experience support a DoD program; U.S. Army program is a plus
  • Product Data Management (PDM) software experience (Windchill/SharePoint)
