SAIC is seeking a qualified candidate who has experience leading high performance teams in science and research, IT services, HPC system architecture, and operations and maintenance. Support location will be in Washington DC metro area.





Oversee all contract activities and ensure overall technical, cost, and schedule performance of the contract or task order ensuring customer satisfaction through complete status reporting, dialog and planning.

Manage relationships with the client.

Oversee risk management across the contract or task order.

Resolve any contract performance issues.

Generate presentations and reports to convey contract progress and status to Customer and Executive Management.

Maintain and enhance the SAIC name and brand within the NOAA community.

Approve hiring or removal of all staff, including subcontractors.

Assume ultimate responsibility and contract authority in communications with the Customer.

Implement productivity and process improvements.

Identify/manage both technical and non-technical project dependencies

Develop best practices; create new or improve existing process and tools for project execution







Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology or related technical field and minimum of 10 years relevant experience managing highly complex system integrations of multiple vendor hardware/software environment

Proven experience managing highly technical work scope with services delivery team of HPC System Administrators, Application Analysts, and software developers

Experience supporting science and research, remote sensing and observing systems, systems engineering, IT services, ground system architecture, and operations and maintenance programs and organizations.

Proven skills in the understanding of systems engineering and providing technical support leadership in the areas of software life-cycle, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and system architecture.

Experience in Business Development as well as Contract Management.

Federal contracting experience.

Ability to generate presentations and reports for Customer and Executive Management as required.

Ability to pass Government background investigation.

U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.

Additional Qualifications:

PMP certification is not required but preferred
